Do you know that the self can lift the self? We do it every day when we simply stand. But then there’s that time when I was in a completely different environment & new territory and suddenly fear and doubt consumed me.
I remember the first time I tried this transition. My brain said it wasn’t possible, so I borrowed my teachers faith.
I’ll never forget when she leaned down and simply said “You are stronger than you think.” So today and every day I remind myself “You are stronger than you think” and then my body remembers so my mind can relax.
I had to speed this up to fit the whole transition in. In real time I take as long as my body will let me, to carefully explore which parts of the body can lift itself, support itself.
